There's still plenty to do, and I'll give you all the complete rundown on the design when it's final, but I couldn't resist the sneak peek. And in case you want to know what it looked like before...
"i can't even remember what it looked like before"

So says Anna, one of the two lucky sisters who got a new room yesterday. Sarah and Anna, of the competing blue and pink color preferences, share a bedroom, and they're super excited (phew!) about their new digs.

How cute are they??? This room is adorable and I cannot wait to see the rest. Must have been so much fun for you.
That is a seriously amazing mirror. I can only imagine how excited the girls must be to have a more sophisticated room-wish you had been around when my mom was decorating my sisters' and my bedroom, it was a pink, little girly nightmare.
Lucky girls indeed! I would have killed for a room like this as a tween. The black wall is genius!
(and yes, I totally needed your help. Just wait until you see my room. I have a whole list of things I need your opinion on, but I'll wait until you see the room in person before I overwhelm you :) )
Goodness, that was fast! I bet they are in heaven! It looks so pulled together and sophisticated, not little girl. A bittersweet moment for their mom, I'm sure.

So adorable, Casey. I love the dark accent wall - so unexpected but it really makes the room. Great work!! Oh, and thank your kind comment today - very thoughtful!
I love how you framed the bunk bed with the curtain - it makes it look like a large build-in system. Nice thinking!
Do you make those window shades? Or did you have them done somewhere? I need a solution for my 100-year-old house with odd-sized windows (and my pitifully small budget).
Jesse, I was going to write a post about this soon--I had the shade made by my sponsor Windows by Melissa. She does meticulous work and is a pleasure to do business with. You can click the link/image to her Etsy shop on the upper right of this page. Good luck! P.S. Would love to hear more about your 100-year-old house!
Those girls are so cute! Can't wait to see more of the room.
