This blog came about in 2009 with no real idea what I wanted from it or where it would take me. Soon after, I was inspired to start loft & cottage interiors and put to use my experience in home design, as managing editor of homeportfolio.com, as a more hands-on designer in home furnishings retail, and as a constant decorating consultant for friends and family.
This blog and my business have both led to the enormous personal satisfaction of helping people through the milestones of their lives as manifested in their homes: a big kid room as baby grows out of the nursery, a living room of shared possessions and new life for a just-married couple.
In addition to client work and decorating inspirations, on the blog you’ll now find more postings about life with my husband Michael and our daughter Emmy. We live in a century-old home west of Boston and are fixing it up, making it just right for us, room by room.
