lights and art over the sofa

Another thing I'm planning on for my little living room redo: a pair of sconces and a gallery wall above the sofa. I'm pretty obsessed with this look, and it's perfect for my cozy little space. The lights make it functional and intimate and warm. The art makes it collected and personal and casual. Together, sconces plus salon wall plus sofa equal comfortable sophistication.

Now, where am I going to find some inexpensive sconces and a ton of cool random art? Time to start shopping and collecting.

We must have a connection today Casey. Adding sconces to a gallery wall definitely ups the sophistication level and adds warmth. I just searched and came up with a couple from Walmart of all places. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Rhine-Swing-Arm-Halogen-Wall-Lamp/10788804

Like this look too, Casey. About a year ago I bought some swing arm sconces from Overstock that I love! You might want to check out overstock.

I tend to find a lot of good sconces at overstock, but sometimes when they don't have a big variety I search through csnlighting and normally find something there.

Can't wait to see your finished product.

A gallery wall and sconces will look great, I can't wait to see the final product. Lowe's actually had some fun sconce's recently. Swing arm, I think.

I had an idea to do this at my old house, but never got around to it. I wish I had...It adds such depth to a gallery wall. I'll have to live vicariously through you :)

Love the sconce idea! I will keep my eye out for any good deals!

Funny how many posts I have seen about gallery walls lately. I am posting about them tomorrow. I guess all great minds think alike.
