Would this be an easy diy project? I'm not sure, but I think it might be and I'm willing to give it a shot. How awesome is grasscloth in dressing up a just-average piece of furniture?!
You can find grasscloth wallpaper very affordably from Lowe's or get it from the master of natural fiber, Phillip Jeffries, in almost any delicious color you can imagine.

Casey, I love this idea. In the nursery, I'd like to do grasscloth on the walls, but if that doesn't work out then this is how I'd like to incorporate it.
Great way to add texture to a room and you'd probably have leftover grass cloth afterward to tackle a second project.
I'd love to try this on an old dresser... something really cheap... so I don't feel bad if it doesn't turn out. :)
I saw the first picture awhile back and it got me to thinking that one could use the same idea on interior doors... maybe bedroom closet doors or something?! I'm sure it's been done, just never seen any pictures that I can recall.
They do look pretty with the grasscloth - it adds texture and makes it look real classy!
Love this idea! Will you remind me of it when we finally finish our family room and inevitably have leftover grasscloth wallpaper???
I'm looking around the house now for inset panels that can be grassclothed.

Great look! This would be very easy to do. Love the nail head detail on the first image.
