great idea: diagonal beadboard panel headboard

Talk about a focal point. And I'm not referring to the color here! This headboard wall would be just as stunning in white or gray or any subtle color (in fact, I might prefer it, because then it's all about texture and less about color).

Anyway, it's really the pattern here that I love. And it'd be a great diy project if you're willing to give it a try. I love that they laid the beadboard panels on the diagonal and alternated the direction. Makes these panels even more interesting. What do you think?

I love the pattern as well! It is very unique and doesnt really need a bright color to stand out!

What a smart, and affordable, idea. Beadboard and trim can be had for very little.

P.S. I'm totally loving the images that BH&G is putting out lately. Lots of inspiring ideas!

This makes me want to take a woodworking class. I hear they have lab hours where you can use the tools for free, and with an instructor on hand to help. Hmmm.

The diagonal pattern references a time, before plywood, when carpenters used diagonals to stabilize doors and walls. This wall looks exactly like a well-built barn door.
